BEFORE invited to GlobalGiving Online Contest

The BEFORE Project has been invited to participate in the fall 2009 GlobalGiving Open Challenge, an online contest for non-profits. GlobalGiving is an online donation sites that allows individuals to browse through projects that have gone through a vetting and due diligence screening process. This year BEFORE was chosen as one of the projects that can compete for $6,000 in prizes from GlobalGiving. The project that receives the highest amount in donations and has the most donors by December 21, 2009 wins the online contest.

With 2.9 billion people living in countries that are prone to war, 2,000 people killed in violent conflict everyday, and $7.2 trillion dollars was lost because wars around the world hindered economic opportunities in 2007, we know that war is costly. We also that there are signs and patterns that can tell us whether or not a war is going to break out and that we can respond to these signs with preventative response, but we need you.
